The Zeppole di San Giuseppe are very popular in Campania and were once prepared directly in the streets. It is a band pastry. They are generally prepared in the time of St. Joseph (March 19). The 19, March is not only the name day of Giuseppe, but also Father’s Day in Italy. And the Zeppole are served as a dessert on this day. The main ingredients are flour, sugar, eggs, butter and olive oil, pudding, a pinch of powdered sugar and cherries in syrup for decoration. Absolutely recommendable!
